Can Highly Recommend this site to anyone, this
is one of the best family run, smaller sites in the Azahar region. It is an
ideal stopping or staying point on journeys to and from Spain, 4
hours from the French border, Andorra or
Alicante -

Camping Alegría del Mar- Benicarló
Richard & Julie have a small, very secure, family run site near
the North beach in Benicarló.
The site is just ten minutes walk from the impressive new marina and
within easy walking distance of Benicarló town cenre. The popular
resort of Peñiscola is only 6km away, Vinaros is 7km to the North.
Amenities
The site has all the usual facilities with bar-restaurant, shop, swimming
pool, with now Wifi internet access , and a shared satellite dish facility.
Richard and Julie are constantly updating their site and the shower & toilet
facilities have been completely modernised during 2005.
There is direct access from the site to a stoney but acceptable beach only a
few minutes away.
Entertainment
There are dance & karaoke nights in season and the site is a
popular stay for British winter campers with restaurant serving good food and
a good social atmosphere. There are special rates for longer stay campers.
Bikers and enthusiasts clubs are also welcome, Richard & Julie
are keen bikers.
At Christmas and New Year, it is one of the very few places in the
region where there are the usual dinners, celebrations and activities are
celebrated.
Statics
There are also plots available to site your own static caravan
permanently with attractive rates, or the family can help with the purchase
or supply of a suitable caravan.
Finding Us
If you can find your way to Benicarló harbour, or when coming from
Peñiscola on the coast road, follow
the coast road north and you are sure to find us as the road turns slightly
inland. From the N340 North, follow service road sign (via de servicio, next
to car breakers yard) and the site is signposted on the roundabout. Map
